Digiterre Integrates Communica Compliance Engine with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Digiterre has announced today that the Communica Compliance Engine software, developed in conjunction with a number of high profile managers and launched at the end of 2015, now integrates with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

The Communica Compliance Engine aims to help financial services organisations address the growing multi-jurisdictional compliance demands such as FATCA, KYC, CDD, AML, AIFMD and MiFID II.
As an example, the functionality already built into the system automates the capture of suitability and regulatory information linked to organisations’ marketing activities across multiple countries with controls in place to help prevent information from being accidently sent to investors or clients that have not been approved by compliance teams.

Ian Murrin, CEO at Digiterre said: “By integrating the Communica Compliance Engine with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, financial services organisations will have a complete and centralised audit trail of all compliance processes as well as supporting documentation linked to the correct client or investor records in the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system. This will mean that these organisations are able to evidence to industry regulators that correct compliance processes have been followed in relation to marketing activities and as a result avoid fines for non-compliance as well as reduce the risk of reputational damage”.

The Communica Compliance Engine allows client organisations to add or amend processes at will, without the need for technical input from Digiterre, to enable them to respond to changing regulatory requirements.

Jarrod Martin, Managing Director for the Communica division said: “In light of the rapidly changing regulatory environment within the financial services industry, having a system in which processes can be changed quickly without the need for lengthy and potentially costly development work is key. As well as clients building new compliance processes themselves, we are aiming to grow a library of standardised compliance process templates which our clients will be able to use to accelerate the time to implement change within their organisations”.

For banks, investment managers and fund administrators who do not have a CRM system or are looking to replace their existing software, Digiterre can provide its own award winning Communica dCRM software product together with additional modules which solve industry specific challenges. Already included in Communica is functionality which allows investment managers to create distribution rules by jurisdiction, which help prevent marketing activities from taking place in countries where the fund manager has not received the necessary authorisation from the authorities or are considered as too risky.
